Author Rory Feek never imagined he’d release a children’s book during a global pandemic. But that’s what happened when his second children’s book, The Day God Made You, debuted in June. In the weeks leading up to the release, Feek knew he needed to address the changes children and families were seeing all around them. And he wanted to reassure them that God knew they would be living in these “unprecedented times.”
Feek wrote additional stanzas and asked his illustrator, Malgosia Piatkowska, to create new scenes. Each of these were released as digital exclusive on social media.
In addition to the stanzas, the team also released the special artwork as coloring pages for families who are growing more familiar with wearing masks in public and remote learning. Be sure to check out other activity pages for The Day God Made You and other favorite titles.
